DJ Free Leonard is an American Indian/Persian Hip Hop Artist from Oakland, California. Has recorded over 180 songs, 30 music videos, 2 documentaries and 2 books inspired by Indigenous Social Studies such as the case of Leonard Peltier, a Native Political Prisoner and 1st cousin by blood. In 2010 released "Free Leonard Peltier: Hip Hop's Contribution to the Freedom Campaign" which was highly acclaimed in the Underground Hip Hop community and to this day is resold by 3rd parties for nearly $600 per cd. Formed a Creative Partnership with Chuck D from 2015 to 2018 and teamed up with Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine for the 2020 song "Traditional Way of Life".
