DJ Free Leonard is an American Indian/Persian Hip Hop Artist from Oakland, California. Has recorded over 180 songs, 30 music videos, 2 documentaries and 2 books inspired by Indigenous Social Studies such as the case of Leonard Peltier, a Native Political Prisoner and 1st cousin by blood. In 2010 released "Free Leonard Peltier: Hip Hop's Contribution to the Freedom Campaign" which was highly acclaimed in the Underground Hip Hop community and to this day is resold by 3rd parties for nearly $600 per cd. Formed a Creative Partnership with Chuck D from 2015 to 2018 and teamed up with Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine for the 2020 song "Traditional Way of Life". Other notable collaborations include songs with Pep Love and Casual of the Hieroglyphics, Ras Kass, Spice One, B-Legit, Mellow Man Ace, Mopreme Shakur, EA-Ski, and more. Has opened up shows for Rakim, Digital Underground and King Tee.
